When first using the Image Management App, there will be no ImageStorm Jobs scheduled. Note the time on the UTC clock. All actions occur on UTC time and must be entered as such.

● Resource Group of VM

● VM Name

● Image Prefix - used to assign Image Name

● Start Time - The time when the first ImageStorm attempt will be made. If Start Time is prior to UTC time, an attempt will be made at the earliest opportunity.

● CRON - defines the job schedule as a Quartz CRON format.

● End - the time to end processing the job. If empty, job never ends.

● Preserve Image - if checked, the intermediate Image is preserved in the [instance name].Temp Resource Group. The operator can move that image to another Resource Group. Normally this Image is deleted as part of the cleanup.

● Start, End, and CRON - define the job schedule as a Quartz CRON format.

● Note: the CRON Evaluation (UTC) will indicate if a valid CRON string is entered. An error will display if the CRON string is invalid.

When an ImageStorm Job is first created, it is created with a Status of Unscheduled . This is so the operator can define a Gallery destination for the Image. The operator must Schedule an ImageStorm Job on the Image Management page.

Click Save

At this point, an ImageStorm Definition has been created and the operator has returned to the ImageStorm Definition page.

● Use the chevron to expand the ImageStorm Definition node

● In the Gallery node, click on Create New

● Gallery ResourceGroup -The name of the Resouce Group containing the target Shared Image gallery

● Gallery Name - The name of the Shared Image Gallery

● Image Definition - The name of the Image Definition in the Shared Image Gallery

Exclude From Latest - This image will not be included when referencing the latest image. Consult the Azure Shared Image Gallery documtation.

At this point, a Gallery Reference has been defined.

Click Save

At this point, a Gallery has been associated with the ImageStorm Definition . The Image Definition has not been Scheduled. Schedule the ImageStorm Definition by clicking on Schedule.

At this point, an ImageStorm Definition has been Scheduled and an Image will be generated per the Schedule.

In this example, the estimated Next time is 2020-Apr-07 15:20. Approximately 6 hours before the current time. The scheduler will interpret this as a missed time and will run and will create the Image at the next opportunity.

Upon completion of Image Creation, the Image will be added to the Gallery's Image Definition
